Italian Sports Cars - More Than Just 4 Wheels
Irrespective of whether you own a car, whether you have interest in cars or whether you like sports cars, you must definitely have come across names of some of the best car manufacturing companies of the world; of these, Italian sports cars take the top spot. Some of the mega giants of this country in the world of 4 wheelers include the likes of Lamborgini, Maserati, Ferrari, Bugatti and Alpha Romeo.
If these cars are famous worldwide, there is a reason behind it. Across the world, people love them for their sleek and sporty design and mind boggling speeds. However, they come with extremely steep price tags which make them affordable for 90% of the population. The problem does not end here, spare parts are very expensive and so are the insurance premium amounts. Despite these facts, people still dream of buying one of them because they are looked upon as stylish and are considered to be a status symbol. Best of all, they happen to attract a lot of girls too.
Even though they are called sports cars, they can be driven off the race tracks on the state streets too. Nevertheless, it is better to avoid driving them on bumpy and unmaintained roads because of several reasons which include very low ground clearance. Doing so could cause damage to the car bringing along with it a lot of expenses. Low ground clearance is a part of the design to improve the aerodynamic capabilities of the vehicle thus making it capable of reaching higher speeds in lesser time intervals. As one can imagine, with this gain, comes some disadvantages.

If you are one of the few lucky ones who can afford to buy one of these wonderful Italian sports cars, but the roads are poor and ill maintained, it would be better not to buy the vehicle at all. In such cases, saloons should be preferred; while they are not sleek, they definitely are gorgeous and can be driven anywhere across the world.
Going into the details of some companies, Enzo by Ferrari deserves mention. It has been named after its founder and is considered to be one of the best Italian sports cars to have roamed the streets. Its chassis has been built with carbon fiber and the technology used to drive it is second to none. What else can be expected from a car that carries the name of the founder?
Lamborghini is owned by Ferruccio Lamborghini and the cars that deserve mention are Gallardo and Murcielago. The latter is also the flagship car of the company. Other cars that have been rolled out on the streets by the same production house include Diablo and Countach, both of which proved to be a great success.
Maserati is a company founded by 5 brothers and produce vehicles that resemble sports cars but are meant for use of regular roads. Buggati, although founded in France is still considered Italian keeping in mind the fact that it is owned by an Italian emigrant.
